Revisiting 15 years of India-Russia relations
New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Delhi on Wednesday evening. Putin's plane landed at Palam Airport. Prime Minister Modi received Putin at the airport. This visit by Putin is expected to further strengthen and elevate India-Russia relations. Traditionally, India and Russia have always enjoyed very cordial and strong relations.
Amidst Putin's current visit, Dynamite News is unfolding the relations between India and Russia 15 years ago and what the then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said about the relations between the two countries when he was in Moscow to attend the 14th summit.

The 14th India-Russia Summit was held in Moscow on 27 October 2013 and the then PM Manmohan Singh went to Russia for the summit. Notably, senior journalist Manoj Tibrewal Aakash had also travelled to Moscow with the PM’s delegation to cover the summit as senior correspondent for DD News.
Manoj then provided live coverage of the summit and the agreements signed between the two countries directly from Moscow. Manoj is currently the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Dynamite News.
Addressing the summit, the then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh described the relations between Russia and India as very strong. Calling Russia India's closest friend, he said that this summit had taken the commercial and strategic interests of both countries to new heights. The two countries then signed important agreements on several fronts.

Putin's visit to India comes at a time when the world is grappling with several issues, including Trump's tariffs, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the oil trade, and the deteriorating relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Furthermore, the visit takes place shortly after the Indian Army's Operation Sindoor against Pakistan. Therefore, the global community is closely watching this visit.
