Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the death of a local man during an encounter in Ganderbal district. Instructions have also been issued to complete the investigation in a timely manner.

The incident occurred on April 1st in the Arhama area of ​​Ganderbal. Raashid Ahmed Mughal, a resident of Chountwaliwar Lar, was killed. Following the incident, tension prevailed in the area, and demands for an investigation into the matter were being raised.

District Magistrate assigned responsibility

According to an official order issued by the Home Department, the District Magistrate of Ganderbal has been assigned the responsibility of conducting a "thorough and impartial" investigation into the matter.
