Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Dehradun today to conduct an aerial survey of the disaster-affected areas of Uttarakhand. Although his air tour was canceled due to bad weather, he announced an economic package of Rs 1200 crore for the affected areas after three important meetings at the rest house. Along with this, financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured was also announced.

Prime Minister Modi met the disaster-affected families and understood their pain and expressed condolences. He also met SDRF, NDRF and Aapada Mitra volunteers and praised their courageous efforts. He said that these soldiers and volunteers play an important role in disaster management.
