Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again launched a scathing attack on the Central Government and Home Minister Amit Shah.

She raised questions about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process proposed by the Election Commission and alleged that Amit Shah is behaving like the prime minister, whereas even the prime minister himself should not trust him completely.

Question on SIR process

Mamata Banerjee asked how the Special Revision (SIR) of the voter list can be done within 15 days. She described it as "completely Amit Shah's ploy" and said it was a dictatorial attitude. She believes that this process is politically motivated and is being implemented in a hurry so that BJP can get an electoral advantage.

Called Amit Shah 'Mir Jafar'

Mamata Banerjee compared Amit Shah to 'Mir Jafar.' She said, "PM should not always trust Amit Shah. One day he will prove to be Mir Jafar for you."

Mir Jafar is the same historical character who betrayed Siraj-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Bengal, in the Battle of Plassey in 1757 and helped the British East India Company.

Mamata blamed BJP and Bajrang Dal for the communal violence in Cuttack, Odisha. She said that "Cuttack is burning, and it is the result of BJP's policies. This government is dictatorial and arrogant."

She also said that those who are in power today will not remain in power forever. Nothing is permanent.

Resentment over Bengal flood relief

Mamata Banerjee also alleged that the central government did not provide any assistance for flood relief to Bengal. He also accused BJP of doing politics on natural disasters like floods.

"I myself went to the flood-affected areas, met the victims, and distributed relief material, but received no support from the Center."

Questions on the role of BJP leaders

He also indirectly targeted BJP MP Khagen Murmu by saying that he was injured but arrived with a convoy of 30-40 vehicles in the name of helping the flood victims, which was completely inappropriate and pretentious.

Mamata's sharp political reaction

Throughout this entire statement, Mamata Banerjee has directly attacked the working style of the Central Government, the politics of BJP, and the role of Amit Shah.

She clarified that she is not a leader who will succumb to false rumors, threats, or political pressure and will continue to fight for the rights of Bengal.
