Two more Indian tankers cross Strait of Hormuz
New Delhi: Two more Indian LPG Tankers-BW Elm and BW Tyr-have crossed the Gulf area and are currently in the eastern Strait of Hormuz, according to reports.
These two tankers, Tyr and Elm, are owned by BW LPG India which is a subsidiary of the BW Group and BW LPG, carry a combined cargo of more than 106,000 tonnes.

The two Indian flagged LPG carriers - BW Tyr and BW Elm - crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday (March 28, 2026) as per the reports.
This comes after the ongoing US-Israeli conflict with Iran has disrupted shipping key route.
20 Indian Flagged Ships Stranded
Rajesh Kumar Sinha, special secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, said that as of Friday, 20 Indian-flagged ships including five LPG carriers were stranded in the Gulf. Although India is gradually moving its stranded LPG cargoes out from the Hormuz Strait, with four LPG tankers moved so far: Shivalik, Nanda Devi, Pine Gas, and Jag Vasant.
