Lucknow: The weather in Uttar Pradesh has once again taken a turn. While heavy rain and humidity troubled people a few days ago, cold winds have now brought a mild chill in the mornings and evenings. The Meteorological Department has released the latest update for many parts of the state, stating that temperatures will gradually drop.

Relief from Rain, Bright Sunshine During the Day

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather will now be normal in most districts of Uttar Pradesh. There is no possibility of rain. Bright sunshine will prevail during the day, although a slight chill will be felt in the mornings and evenings. A further drop in temperatures is predicted in the coming days.

What Will Weather Be Like In Which Districts?

Clear and dry weather will prevail in Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Gonda, Lucknow, Balrampur, Bahraich, Bareilly, Agra, Mathura, Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, and Varanasi, among other districts. These areas will experience mild cold mornings and evenings, with bright sunshine during the day.

Monsoon Withdrawal and Cold Winds

Meteorologist Dr Shri Prakash Singh stated that the southwest monsoon is now withdrawing from the southeastern districts of Purvanchal. Westerly and northwesterly winds are blowing at the surface level, increasing the dryness of the atmosphere and causing a drop in temperatures. The cold is expected to intensify further after Diwali.

Impact of Snowfall in Mountainous Regions

Snowfall in Uttarakhand and other mountainous regions is also affecting the weather in Uttar Pradesh. Due to snowfall in the border areas of Uttarakhand, cold winds are being felt in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. This has caused temperatures to drop, and people are feeling the need to take out their light warm clothes.

Temperature in Major Cities

According to the IMD, the minimum and maximum temperatures in Lucknow are expected to be 21.0 and 32.0 degrees Celsius, Varanasi 23.0 and 33.0 degrees Celsius, Noida and Ghaziabad 20.0 and 30.0 degrees Celsius, and Bareilly 19.0 and 30.0 degrees Celsius. A slight drop in temperatures has also been recorded in districts like Prayagraj and Ballia.
