Pact formalised in Chennai

The agreement was finalised in Chennai in the presence of senior BJP leader Piyush Goyal and AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami. Both leaders signed the electoral pact at the party headquarters, signalling the alliance’s readiness for the polls.

NDA expresses confidence in victory

Speaking after the announcement, Goyal expressed strong confidence in the alliance’s prospects. He said the NDA would perform well in both Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, asserting that voters were seeking change.

He criticised the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and its ally Indian National Congress, alleging governance failures and economic mismanagement. According to him, the electorate is looking for development-focused politics and improved opportunities for youth and women.

Leadership pitch and campaign narrative

Goyal highlighted the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting his long tenure with delivering governance and development. He added that the alliance would campaign on issues such as economic growth, welfare, and support for farmers.
