New Delhi: Approximately eight months remain until the announcement of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. As the election season approaches, while political parties and leaders are immersed in their campaign preparations, opposition parties have launched a scathing attack on the government regarding the issues of crime and law and order.

Amidst this, a significant statement has emerged from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati, in which she has stated that crime rates tend to escalate in UP as elections draw closer.

Mayawati contends that as the election period draws nearer, criminal incidents will result in widespread adverse consequences. Therefore, she urges the government to remain fully vigilant.
