Mumbai: A huge number of devotees are flocking at Lalbaugcha Raja Pandal here in Mumbai to offer their prayers to the iconic Lord Vinayak and seeking His blessings. Lalbaugcha Raja is known as "Navasacha Ganpati" (the wish-fulfilling Ganesha), reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Lalbaugcha Raja was established in 1934 when traders and fishermen in Peru Chawl lost their trade and market in 1932. At that time they prayed to Lord Ganesh for a new market. After their wish was fulfill they vowed to establish Lord Ganesh.

Consequently they were allotted a land where they establish a community celebration, named it Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal and installed an idol of Lord Ganesh in gratitude which came to be known as Lalbaugcha Raja. And today it is one of the most popular Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai.
