Mumbai: Actor Vivek Oberoi has supported Salman Khan’s recent remarks against online trolling, saying people should focus on positivity instead of getting involved in negativity on social media. Speaking at an event organised by the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) in Mumbai, Vivek was asked about Salman’s comments on trolling during Bigg Boss 20.

Responding to the question, Vivek said that trolling itself is a negative activity and people should spend their time on more meaningful and positive things.

Vivek said that there are many constructive things people can do instead of targeting others online. His remarks came shortly after Salman Khan criticised social media users who frequently comment on celebrities’ age, appearance and personal choices. During the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, Salman spoke about the criticism he has faced online, including comments related to his age and changing appearance. The actor also addressed the trolling faced by women after pregnancy, saying changes in weight are a natural part of life.

Without directly naming anyone, Salman spoke about actresses being judged for their appearance and highlighted the pressure celebrities face on social media platforms.

Salman also reacted to criticism surrounding his bald appearance by revealing that the look was connected to a film project. The actor criticised people who earn attention by putting others down online and questioned the culture of constant negativity on social media.
