India declares at 518/5 in 2nd test vs West Indies; Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill shines

In the second Test at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, India declared their first innings at 518/5 against the West Indies. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 175 before being run out, while captain Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 129.

New Delhi: The second Test match between India and the West Indies is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. India, having won the toss and elected to bat first, declared their innings at 518. India had five wickets remaining, but after Dhruv Jurel was dismissed for 44, they decided to declare at that score.

India Declared Innings At 518/5

India won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test against the West Indies. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul put on 58 runs for the first wicket. KL Rahul was dismissed for 38 (54). Sai Sudarshan and Yashasvi then added 193 runs.

Yashasvi And Gill Scored Centuries

India scored two centuries in the first innings against the West Indies in the Delhi Test. The first century was scored by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who played a brilliant innings of 175 (258) before being run out. He hit 22 fours in his innings. The second century was scored by captain Shubman Gill. Shubman remained unbeaten on 129 (196) when India declared their innings. Gill hit 16 fours and two sixes in his innings.

Sudarshan failed to reach his century and was dismissed for 87. Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out for 175. Captain Shubman Gill scored his 10th Test century. India declared after Dhruv Jurel was dismissed for 44. Thus, India declared their innings at 518/5 in the first innings.

India leads The Series 1-0

A two-match Test series is being played between India and the West Indies. The first Test match of the series was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and the Indian team won by an innings and 140 runs. With this, Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.
