India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets, after which Suryakumar and his team did not follow the tradition of shaking hands with the opposing team. In response, Pakistan boycotted the post-match presentation. During a panel discussion on Samaa TV, Yousuf criticized Suryakumar, repeatedly called him “pig Suryakumar,” and accused the umpires of being influenced by India.
On Tuesday, the ICC rejected Pakistan's request to remove match referee Andy Pycroft from the panel for the ongoing Asia Cup, while the PCB threatened to withdraw from the tournament, which would have resulted in a huge financial loss.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) filed a complaint with the ICC, claiming that during the toss of the Asia Cup match on Sunday, Pycroft advised their captain Salman Ali Agha not to shake hands with Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav.
