Since assuming office in 2014, the Modi government has implemented several transformative reforms aimed at boosting India’s economy and enhancing social welfare.
Emphasizing the importance of the youth of the North-East and the entire region, PM Modi said, “The whole country is moving forward unitedly today to build a developed India. This is both a dream and a resolution for our youth.
Prime Minister Modi said that children who have lost their parents in floods and landslides will be given full help under the PM Care for Children scheme. The central government also assured that every possible cooperation will be given for the reconstruction of the affected areas and restoration of infrastructure.
The visit is expected to provide new direction to the growing bilateral cooperation between India and Mauritius, especially in areas such as maritime security, trade, culture and education.
Prime Minister Modi said that he discussed the progress of cooperation in various fields with President Macron and saw it in a positive light. He informed that discussions were held on many international and regional issues, including efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine soon.
Inaugurating ‘Semicon India 2025’, Prime Minister Modi underlined India’s growing role in the global chip market and said that the country is ready to play an important role in the trillion-dollar semiconductor sector.
This meeting was the second meeting of the two leaders in less than a year. Earlier in the meeting held in Kazan in October 2024, there was also a concrete discussion to take bilateral relations forward.
“Wherever there was a crisis, our NDRF-SDRF personnel and other security forces worked day and night to save people. The soldiers also took the help of technology.”
