Uttar Pradesh Weather

In Uttar Pradesh, due to the influence of northwesterly winds over the past three to four days, a significant drop in both minimum and maximum temperatures has been recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance is expected to become active from December 18, but due to changes in wind direction and speed before that, dense fog covered Dausa, Bharatpur, and Chittorgarh districts from Sunday night. Weather experts say that the change in wind patterns has increased the moisture in the atmosphere, due to which the cold air from the hilly regions has now started reaching the plains.

Relative humidity of 90 percent or more has been recorded at several places. A cold wave may occur in the coming days due to the influence of the Western Disturbance. Dense fog is likely to prevail in the northeastern parts. The weather is expected to remain dry in most cities until the middle of next week. However, another Western Disturbance is likely to become active around the weekend in the northeastern regions, bringing cold winds.
