Pankhuri’s family’s financial constraints led to her being unable to pay school fees, causing her to stop attending school.
Gorahpur: Pankhuri Tripathi, a 13-year-old girl from Purdilpur, shared her heart-rending story during a Janta Darshan organized at Gorakhnath temple in Uttar Pradesh. Pankhuri's family's financial constraints led to her being unable to pay school fees, causing her to stop attending school and even giving the final exam, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Pankhuri's father, Rajiv Tripathi, blamed the school management for humiliating her and causing her to develop an inferiority complex. Pankhuri has been absent from school for four months and has been deprived of the final exam.
School Principal Dr Rajesh Singh confirmed that Pankhuri is still a student and can continue her studies. He also mentioned that free education is provided to poor children under RTE (Right to Education), and the second registration phase for the 2025-26 session is open from July 1 to July 12, 2025. Parents can apply on the Education Department's website.
