Chirag Paswan party demands 26 seats
Patna: Amidst intense negotiations within the NDA regarding seat sharing for the Bihar Assembly elections, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has demanded 26 seats for itself. The LJP (Ram Vilas) presented this claim at its parliamentary board meeting on Saturday. These demands include several sitting seats held by the BJP, JDU, and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
The party's parliamentary board has authorized Chirag Paswan to negotiate with the NDA and take the final decision on seat sharing. A LJP member stated that a decision has been made to contest seats such as Govindganj, Alauli, Obera, Dehri, Manjhi, Paliganj, Brahmapur, Danapur, Masaurhi, Rajgir, Sheikhpura, and Fatuha. The LJP also intends to contest several other seats, including Sheikhpura, Imamganj, Bodhgaya, Hisua, Mahua, Morwa, Nathnagar, Rupauli, Sugauli, and Gaighat.
Less than a month remains for the Bihar elections, but the NDA has yet to reach a final consensus on seat-sharing. Meanwhile, a meeting of NDA leaders from Bihar was held in Delhi on Saturday, held at JP Nadda's residence. Senior leaders such as Amit Shah, Vinod Tawde, Dharmendra Pradhan, Samrat Chaudhary, Dilip Jaiswal, and Nityanand Rai were present at the meeting.
According to sources, approximately 90 to 100 seats were discussed in the meeting, and a possible seating arrangement was also discussed.
Janata Dal United (JDU): 101 seats
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP): 100 seats
Lok Janshakti Party (LJP): 26 seats
Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM): 7 seats
Ram Vilas Mandal (RLM): 6 seats
Negotiations are still ongoing on three seats.

Ram Vilas Mandal Chief Upendra Kushwaha has also left for Delhi. He stated that a complete agreement on seating has not yet been reached and negotiations are ongoing. The media reports are inaccurate. He stated that clarity on seat sharing will emerge only after negotiations, and that this process will not be made public.
The impasse within the NDA regarding seat sharing for the Bihar Assembly elections continues, but a final consensus among all parties may be reached soon.
