Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gifted another Vande Bharat Express to Bihar and inaugurated a new rail line and a new train service from Vaishali to Deoria.

In a program organized in Siwan, Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train running between Pataliputra and Gorakhpur from Pataliputra Railway Station through video link.

The development of the area between Deoria and Vaishali will get a new dimension. New employment opportunities will be created in the area and rapid access of agricultural products to the market will be ensured.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Patna Sahib parliamentary constituency and former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Bihar government minister Nitin Naveen, former Patliputra MP Ramkripal Yadav were present at the event held at Patliputra station. While Patliputra MP Misa Bharti was not seen at the function.

Development Of Bihar

Prasad told reporters, "Development of Bihar is in the heart of the Prime Minister. Whenever he comes to Bihar, development projects worth thousands of crores become a reality here. We have come here to flag off the Vande Bharat train. The Prime Minister really likes the state of Bihar and is concerned about its development."

This is the 71st pair of train service of the Vande Bharat Express series in the country. This train will cover a distance of 384 km in seven hours. On the way, it will stop at Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Paniyhawa in Uttar Pradesh and Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudham Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra stations in Bihar. Through this train, tourists will also be able to reach places like Champaran, Vaishali and Kushinagar easily, which will promote tourism.

The 26502 Up train from Gorakhpur will depart at 5:40 am and reach Patliputra station at 12:45 pm and on the return, it will depart from Patliputra at 3:30 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 10:30 pm. A Vande Bharat Express train set has been installed for this service. It will run six days a week and this service will not be available on Saturday for maintenance.

Air-Conditioned Train

All the coaches in this Vande Bharat Express train with eight coaches are air-conditioned. The doors installed in this train are automatic. Passengers will get the facility of clean bio toilets. The train also has a GPS-based information screen. Passengers will get food and water onboard.
