The Dynamite News team conducted a ground investigation, exposing Swami Chaitanyanand’s alleged sexual abuse of girl students over decades. Police seized his Volvo with fake diplomatic plates. The affiliated math has now abandoned him.
New Delhi: The Dynamite News investigation team today reached the premises of SRISIIM Bharati, where self-styled spiritual guru Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati is accused of decades of sexual exploitation and molestation of students.
Before probing SRISIIM, our investigation began at Sharda Math, with which the institute is affiliated. Locals confirmed that Chaitanyanand often visited the Math with girls. When asked, they said the girls came “to seek blessings and guidance.” However, they refused to elaborate further on what happened inside. Police sources maintain that the matter remains under active investigation and more details will surface after his arrest.
Moving next to SRISIIM Bharti, our team sought responses from the management. Despite repeated attempts, officials refused to cooperate. Questions remain: how could a man accused of preying on socially and economically weaker girls continue unchecked under the guise of a guru?
The issue goes beyond the 32 young women who came forward. Chaitanyanand has faced similar allegations for nearly two decades—cases were filed in 2006 and 2009, and in 2016 he was arrested in a molestation case but released on bail.
As the scandal unraveled, Chaitanyanand fled the ashram with its manager. Seventeen female students of management courses have accused him of molestation. Dynamite News has obtained copies of WhatsApp chats where he lured students with promises of foreign trips, pressuring them to meet him privately. Messages revealed his threats: “Come to my room, I’ll take you abroad, you won’t have to spend anything. If you don’t obey, I’ll fail you.”
Sources confirmed that three female wardens also colluded with him, threatening students and forcing them to delete chats. Their statements have now been recorded by police.
At the time of the scandal, Chaitanyanand was in London. Investigations also reveal financial fraud linked to the monastery. Meanwhile, Delhi Police seized his luxurious Volvo car, which carried a fake diplomatic number plate (39 UN 1). At Vasant Kunj North Police Station, officers confirmed they recovered 10–12 more similar fake plates, all linked to the Swami.
While Sharda Math has now distanced itself, it continued to shelter Chaitanyanand until the scandal broke out. The full extent of his crimes—and the institutions that enabled him—remains under police investigation.
