Salman Khan shelved Rajat Bedi’s role in Radhe, promised bigger comeback

New Delhi: Actor Rajat Bedi, who once appeared in the hit film "Koi... Mil Gaya," was preparing to make a comeback after a long hiatus. He considered Salman Khan's film "Radhe" as a vehicle for his comeback. He received a call from casting director Mukesh Chhabra's team for a role in the film, and he accepted the offer.

Rajat's old interview surfaces

"I received a call from Mukesh Chhabra's office saying I had been selected for Radhe. I happily met the writer of the film, and he was also very happy that I would be a part of the film."

Salman Khan's had bigger plans

However, Salman Khan had other plans. As soon as he learned that Rajat Bedi had been selected for a role, he called Rajat to meet him and said, "Rajat, just wait a bit. I will give you a comeback that will be even bigger than Radhe."

Salman praised his personality, height, and fitness, and suggested he return with a strong role. Rajat replied: "Who can say no to Bhai?" Heartbroken, but his faith remained intact.

In a recent interview with PTI, Rajat recounted the incident and explained how heartbroken he was when he was told he wouldn't be working in Radhe.

He said, "Salman Bhai said, 'This role isn't for you; I'll give you something better.' I was saddened, but I said, 'Okay, I'll wait.'"

Return with 'The Ba*ds of Bollywood'

Although Rajat hasn't had the opportunity to work with Salman Khan in a film yet, Salman did make a cameo in his comeback show, 'The Ba*ds of Bollywood,' which highlights their bond.
