New Delhi: From doctors to health experts, everyone recommends eating fruit to stay healthy. While all fruits benefit your health in some way, it's believed that eating an apple daily can make you super healthy.

Apples are one of the world's healthiest and most beloved fruits. They're packed with nutrients. But have you ever wondered why store-bought apples look so shiny?

Actually, this shine is due to wax and chemicals that keep apples fresh for longer. While this makes apples look beautiful, the chemical residue left on them can be harmful. Don't worry, you can easily clean apples at home without using expensive products.

In this article, we're going to share six easy, natural, and effective home remedies for removing chemical coatings from apples, making them delicious and healthy.

1. Warm water and a soft brush: The easiest way to clean apples is with lukewarm water and a soft brush. This removes wax and dirt from apples easily.

How to: First, place the apple under lukewarm (not hot) water. Gently scrub with a soft brush. Then, wipe it dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

2. Vinegar water: Vinegar is very effective in removing wax and pesticide coatings from apples.

How to: Mix 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water in a bowl. Soak the apples in the water for 10-15 minutes. Then, rinse with clean water and dry.

3. Lemon Juice and Baking Soda: Lemon juice and baking soda work together to thoroughly clean apples. Lemon juice dissolves wax, while baking soda removes pesticides.

How-to: Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice in 1 cup of water. Soak the apples in the mixture for 5-10 minutes. Then, gently scrub and rinse with water.

4. Soaking in Hot Water: This is the most traditional method for cleaning apples. Soaking in hot water for a few seconds easily removes the wax layer.

How-to: Heat water to a boil. Soak the apples for 10-15 seconds. Then, remove them, rub them with a cloth, and rinse them with cold water.

5. Soaking in Salt Water: Salt water is an easy way to remove chemicals and bacteria from apple peels.

How-to: Fill a bowl with hot water and add 1-2 tablespoons of salt. Soak the apples for 10 minutes. Then, scrub gently and rinse with clean water.

6. Peel and eat: If you prefer, you can peel and eat apples. Just wash them first to prevent any dirt or chemicals from entering.
