Washington: Donald Trump on Wednesday said the United States will work closely with Iran following a recent ceasefire, outlining plans focused on nuclear restrictions and possible economic relief.
The statement comes as both countries look to ease tensions after weeks of conflict and create space for renewed negotiations.
Trump made it clear that preventing uranium enrichment remains a key priority for Washington. He stated that there would be no further enrichment activity as part of any agreement being discussed with Iran.

He also noted that nuclear material believed to be buried after earlier military strikes has remained untouched, adding that efforts may be made to remove it in coordination with Iran.

The US president said Washington could assist in locating and extracting deeply buried nuclear remnants created during past strikes. He described the process as technically challenging and dependent on cooperation between both sides.
Earlier, Trump had indicated that such steps would only be taken if a broader agreement with Iran is finalised.
In addition to nuclear conditions, Trump confirmed that talks are underway on easing economic pressure on Iran. These include possible tariff adjustments and relief from existing sanctions.

While challenges remain, the latest signals point to a renewed diplomatic push that could shape the next phase of US-Iran relations.
