New Delhi: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the strategic Strait of Hormuz will be closed for tankers belonging to Iran’s enemies and their allies. However, ships from friendly countries may still pass through.

Threat to US-Linked Energy Facilities

Iran warned that if its oil or gas facilities are attacked, its forces could target energy facilities owned by United States companies or companies with American investments in the region.

Iran Says It Will Avoid Civilian Areas

Iranian officials said any retaliation would be carried out carefully to ensure densely populated areas are not targeted, aiming to limit civilian harm.

President Promises Recovery

Masoud Pezeshkian said that despite 15 days of conflict, government services in Iran have continued. He assured citizens that the country will rebuild damaged infrastructure and overcome the crisis.

“Hormuz Will Be Open, Safe and Free”

Donald Trump said several countries may send warships with the United States to keep the vital Strait of Hormuz open and secure for global shipping. Trump urged nations such as China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom to deploy naval forces to protect ships passing through the strategic route.

US Claims Iran’s Military Weakened

Trump claimed that the US has destroyed “100% of Iran’s military capability,” but warned that Iran could still attempt to disrupt shipping using drones, sea mines, or short-range missiles. Trump also said the US will keep targeting Iranian positions along the coastline and Iranian boats if needed, promising that the Strait of Hormuz will soon become “open, safe, and free” for international trade.
