New Delhi: On Thursday, thousands of students and teachers from across the country protested vigorously outside the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) headquarters at Lodhi Road in Delhi. This protest was against the negligence, corruption, and flaws in the examination system of SSC. The students allege that their future is becoming dark due to the wrong policies of the commission and rigging in the online examination process.

Teachers also raised their voice

Not only students, but also teachers took to the streets in the protest. They said that they are raising their voice peacefully, demanding their rights, but the police are taking action like beating and forcibly arresting them. Some teachers said that those who make the society aware about education today are becoming victims of police brutality while fighting for their rights. Calling it a "murder of democracy," they said that it shows the insensitivity of the system.

Police action increased the tension

The police resorted to lathi charge to stop the thousands of protesters, after which many students and teachers were taken into custody. This incident raises the question of whether the government and administration are taking the demands of the youth and teachers seriously.

Question on the future

The students say that their hard work is being wasted due to the irregularities of SSC. At the same time, the teachers question that if the respect and rights of teachers are not protected, then how will the education system of the country improve?

This protest is not just against an examination commission but is a symbol of the anger of the youth towards the entire system. The government should listen to the demands of the students and teachers seriously and take transparent action; otherwise, this anger may increase further.
