Rain worries are over; cold and foggy weather abounds
New Delhi: Now winter has officially knocked in Delhi. Fog has started spreading in the morning, and the feeling of cold can be clearly felt at night. Although there is some relief from sunlight during the day, the morning and evening temperatures are falling rapidly.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no possibility of rain in the coming few days. There is a possibility of an increase in cold in Delhi-NCR due to the wind direction towards the northwest.
Now there will be more difference between day and night temperatures, which will further increase the effect of winter.
Weather Today: Hazy skies and no rain; festival flames still choking Delhi-NCR?
The weather in Uttar Pradesh remains normal at present. The sky is expected to remain clear and the weather dry for the next few days. However, some parts of eastern UP—like Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Ballia may receive light thundershowers.
The Meteorological Department says that the nights may be slightly warmer than normal in November 2025, but the effect of cold will be felt more from December.
The weather is gradually cooling down in Uttarakhand. In areas like Dehradun, Nainital, and Pithoragarh, a mixed effect of sunshine and clouds is being seen during the day.
A drop of about two degrees Celsius has been recorded in the temperature in the last 24 hours. The weather department estimates that the weather will remain dry for the next two days.
Cold Weather Arrives in Delhi-NCR
After this, a new Western Disturbance will become active from November 3, due to which there may be a possibility of rain and snowfall in the hilly areas.
Currently, light to moderate rain is going on in Rajasthan. Rain has been recorded at many places in areas of eastern Rajasthan, such as the Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may continue in the southeastern parts of the state for the next 3-4 days.
These rains will cause a drop in temperature and increase moisture in the air, due to which the effect of cold will gradually increase in the state.
Now the knock of winter is clearly being felt in North India. Fog and cold winds have changed the atmosphere in Delhi and NCR, while the effect of rain is visible in Rajasthan.
The weather will remain dry in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand at present, but the cold may increase rapidly with a further drop in temperature in the coming weeks.
Overall, with the beginning of November, the first phase of winter has started, and North India is gradually entering the cold season.
