New Delhi: The investigation into the car bomb blast near the Red Fort has now reached Al-Falah University (Faridabad). Investigative agencies have identified more than 200 doctors, lecturers, and staff at the university as suspects. Continuous searches and interrogations are underway.

More than 200 university employees under the radar

According to sources, investigating agencies are searching hostels and the rooms of students living outside, as well as investigating the backgrounds of staff.

More than 1,000 people have been questioned so far.

A key part of the investigation is to determine how many people suddenly fled the university after the blast and whether they have any connection to the terrorist module. Many people deleted their mobile data, which is being technically investigated.

Several employees were seen leaving the university on the pretext of leave, while on Wednesday, several others were seen leaving the university in vehicles with their belongings.

Seven people questioned in Nuh, woman detained

A 35-year-old Anganwadi worker has been detained, having rented a room to suicide bomber Dr. Umar Un Nabi in Nuh's Hidayat Colony. The woman had been absconding since the blast. Investigating agencies are questioning seven other people who were in contact with Umar. Umar used several mobile numbers in Nuh, whose call details are being examined.

Hospital patient counts decreased

After the incident, the number of OPD patients at Al-Falah Hospital dropped from 200 to 100. An investigation is also underway to determine whether there was a handler within the university, as Umar received special treatment at the institute.

No action taken despite Umar's absence

Two doctors reported that Umar was absent for six months in 2023 without leave. Surprisingly, upon his return, he was allowed to rejoin duty without any action. Umar often returned to his room after only 15–20 minutes of lectures. Doctors claim that he was always assigned evening or night shifts, never morning shifts.

Investigative agencies set up a command center

Teams from the NIA, Delhi Police Special Cell, UP ATS, Faridabad Crime Branch, and J&K Police are deployed on campus. An ED team also arrived on Tuesday. All agencies have set up a temporary command center on campus.

Intensive investigation of lockers at GMC

A thorough investigation of the lockers of doctors and staff has been initiated at the GMC in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. An AK-47 and 2900 kg of explosives were recovered from Dr. Adil Rather's locker here. Instructions have been given to identify unclaimed lockers and update records to prevent any future misuse.

The investigation into the Delhi blasts has now reached medical institutions.
Agencies suspect that doctors, lecturers, and medical staff may be involved in the nationwide white-collar terrorist module. More major revelations are expected in the coming days.
