Rahul and Priyanka among many INDIA Bloc leaders detained by Police
New Delhi: Several leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, were detained by Delhi Police during their march from Parliament to Election Commission Office against SIR and "Vote Fraud" in 2024 Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Delhi Police said that no formal permission has been granted for the march yet. The police stopped the INDIA block leaders in between the march from Parliament to the Election Commission.

Police put up barricades at the Transport Bhawan to stop the protesting opposition MPs from proceeding towards the Election Commission headquarters.
Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2:00 pm amid uproar by the Opposition over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar and other issues.
Opposition leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Dimple Yadav, KC Venugopal and Mahua Mozi shouted slogans after their march to the Election Commission office was stopped by police barricades at Parivahan Bhawan.
Leaders of the INDIA bloc assembled at the Parliaments Makar Dwar and sang the national anthem before starting their march to the Election Commission of India.
Delhi police set up barricades and deployed officers at various locations along the INDIA bloc protest march route to maintain order and prevent any untoward incidents. Additional security vehicles and rapid response teams were also stationed close to the EC office and the surrounding roads to ensure effective traffic flow. No one has asked for permission for the protest march a senior police officer stated.
Several locations along the route now have barricades in place. To uphold law and order and stop any unfortunate incidents police officers were sent in. To guarantee efficient traffic flow more security vehicles and rapid response teams have also been stationed at the Election Commission office and surrounding roads.
