New Delhi: Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has married senior BJD leader Pinaki Mishra, who is 15 years older than her. Dynamite News reports that Mahua and Pinaki tied the knot overseas on May 3.
On this occasion, a picture also went viral on social media in which Mahua is seen dressed in traditional attire and gold jewelry. Mahua is currently a two-time Lok Sabha MP from the Krishnanagar constituency of West Bengal and was also elected in 2024.

Who is Mahua Moitra?
Born in Assam on October 12, 1974, Mahua Moitra started her career as an investment banker and later in 2010 decided to join Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress party. In 2019, she contested and won the Lok Sabha elections from the Krishnanagar constituency. She was re-elected in 2024 as well.
Who is Pinaki Mishra?
Pinaki Mishra was born on 23 October 1959 in Odisha's Puri. He is a seasoned politician and senior lawyer. He holds an Honors degree in History from St. Stephen's College and completed his LLB at Delhi University.
Pinaki entered politics with the Indian National Congress when he won the election for the Puri Lok Sabha seat in 1996 and subsequently switched his allegiance to the Biju Janata Dal. He also succeeded in winning the elections in 2009, 2014, and 2019. Pinaki tied the knot with Sangeeta Mishra in 1984, and the couple has two children.
Pinaki's father, Loknath Mishra, was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly twice as a member of the Congress party and later joined the Swatantra Party and held the post of Deputy Speaker. In 1977, he joined the Janata Party.
He was nominated to the Rajya Sabha thrice. During his tenure, he also served as the governor of Assam, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh. He died on 27 May 2009 at the age of 87. Stay tuned to Dynamite News for further updates.
