Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday claimed that over 20 million jobs have been created in the state during the Trinamool Congress's 14-year rule. Presenting a report card of her government's performance, which has been in power since 2011, she said that West Bengal topped the country for four consecutive times in MNREGA, rural housing, and rural road construction "before the central government stopped funding."

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that despite the central government not paying the state's dues, the West Bengal government continued its development activities. "We spent ₹1 lakh crore on the 'Khady Sathi' food security scheme covering 90 million people and ₹1,717 crore on 'Duare Ration' for 70 million people."

The Chief Minister claimed that her government has increased budgetary allocations to the health sector sixfold in the last 14 years. She said that West Bengal has now become a role model for the rest of India in various sectors.

According to the West Bengal Chief Minister, more than 22 million women currently receive monthly assistance from Lakshmi Bhandaar... Over 9.9 million additional families have received drinking water connections in the last 14 years. Targeting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Banerjee alleged that they distributed ₹10,000 in Bihar before the assembly elections, but then resorted to bulldozers after the elections were over.
