Weather Update: IMD issues warning of heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh from 3 to 5 August

Lucknow: The intermittent rain in Uttar Pradesh till the end of July is now going to pick up pace once again.

According to the latest report of the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in many areas of the state from August 3 to August 5.

Before this, only light to normal rain will be recorded on July 31 and August 1, due to which the effect of heat and humidity may remain.

There will be rain with thunder and lightning in eastern parts

Light rain may be seen at some places with thunder on July 31 in both western and eastern parts of the state. Light drizzle is also expected in some districts of eastern UP like Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Basti and Varanasi. However, no warning of heavy rain has been given these days.

Rain recorded in these districts

According to the Meteorological Department, many districts of the state like Kanpur Dehat 17 mm, Fursatganj 16.6 mm, Orai 15 mm, Hamirpur 13 mm, Lucknow 9.6 mm and Varanasi BHU recorded 5.42 mm of rain. At the same time, the maximum temperature in many cities was recorded between 33 to 35 degree Celsius, due to which humidity is being felt in the atmosphere.

Chances of torrential rain in many districts

At the same time, light rain with thunder may continue in some places in the state on August 1 and 2, but the situation may change from August 3. Meteorologists have indicated that heavy rain may occur in some parts of the state on August 3. After this, torrential rain is expected in both western and eastern parts of the state on August 4 and 5.

This advice has been given to the citizens

Along with this, there is also a possibility of lightning, strong winds and loud thunder of clouds. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has advised the citizens to be cautious, especially those living in rural areas, where there may be a high possibility of waterlogging and damage to crops. The administration has appealed to those living on the river banks and in low-lying areas to be especially cautious, as there is a possibility of increase in water level due to continuous rain.
