New Delhi: As part of a major administrative reshuffle in the Indian judiciary, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of several judges across various High Courts, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The Supreme Court Collegium, in a meeting held on Monday, has recommended the transfer and repatriation of 21 judges while making extensive reshuffles in the High Courts across the country. Notably, four judges from the Allahabad High Court have been proposed for transfer to different High Courts, marking a significant development in the country's judicial landscape.

The Collegium, chaired by Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai, met earlier this week to finalize the list of recommended transfers and repatriations, aimed at promoting institutional balance and enhancing judicial efficiency. The proposals are currently pending approval from the Union Government.

Here are the key transfers from the Allahabad High Court:

  1. Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra – Recommended for transfer to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Known for his legal acumen and balanced judgments, Justice Mishra’s transfer is seen as a move to strengthen the judicial system in the northern region.

  2. Justice Vivek Chaudhary – Proposed to join the Delhi High Court. His expertise in civil and constitutional matters is expected to add value to the capital’s judiciary.

  3. Justice Om Prakash Shukla – Also recommended for transfer to the Delhi High Court. His reassignment reflects the Collegium’s intent to bring experienced judicial minds to the forefront in the national capital.

  4. Justice Jayant Banerji – Slated to be moved to the Karnataka High Court. His transfer aims to bolster judicial strength in the southern circuit.

These transfers, once approved by the central government, will be executed in due course. The reshuffle is part of a broader effort to maintain equitable distribution of judicial talent and address regional needs within the Indian High Court system.

The judiciary and legal fraternity are closely observing the developments, as the transfers are expected to bring fresh perspectives and strengthen legal proceedings in the respective High Courts. Stay tuned to Dynamite News for further updates.
