The operation began on August 1 when the security forces received credible information about the presence of terrorists. Three or more terrorists are still hiding, taking advantage of dense forests and natural caves. So far two terrorists have been killed in this encounter.
The operation is being commanded by Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat and Northern Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma. Modern technology like drones and helicopters is being used to locate the terrorists, and the Para Commando Force is also actively involved in this operation.
According to security sources, when the security forces started a search operation in the area on the evening of August 1, the hidden terrorists suddenly started firing, after which the encounter has been going on continuously. This operation is special of its kind, as it is one of the longest operations ever in Kashmir, and in this the terrorists have taken full advantage of the geologically challenging terrain.
The army and security forces have surrounded the entire area and are working on a strategy to flush out the terrorists. This operation is not only challenging for the security forces, but it also shows how our soldiers are deployed every moment for the security of the country and even put their lives at stake when required.
