New Delhi: During Operation Sindoor, India inflicted heavy damage on Pakistani military installations. The Indian Army is now placing a large order for Indo-Russian joint venture BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. According to a report, sources in the Defense Ministry said that soon a high-level meeting may approve the purchase of a large number of BrahMos missiles for the Indian Navy's warships. Also, land and air variants of these missiles will be purchased for the Indian Air Force.

During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force launched a massive attack on terrorist bases located in Pakistan. The Brahmos missile proved to be India's biggest weapon in this operation. The headquarters of terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba were targeted through Brahmos.

The supersonic speed and accuracy of this missile were so dangerous that the airbase and cantonment of the Pakistani Army suffered heavy damage. Pakistan also tried to retaliate, but by then India had given a clear message—now it will not be easy to save the terrorists.

All three versions of Brahmos: India's tri-service firepower

Now India has decided to buy all three versions (air, ship, and ground-based) of the Brahmos missile. This move will further strengthen the firepower of the Indian Army:

Air-launched version—It can be fired from the Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force.

Ship-based version—It will make the Veer-class warships of the Navy more powerful.

Ground-based version—With its help, enemy targets can be attacked from long distances.

According to defense experts, the coordinated use of these three versions will give India a big strategic advantage against China and Pakistan.

Strengths of Brahmos: Mach 3 speed, strike range of 500+ KM

Brahmos is one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world, flying at a speed of Mach 2.8 to 3 (three times faster than the speed of sound). Its strike range has been increased to more than 500 kilometers.

The biggest thing is that this missile targets with an accuracy of a few meters, which can destroy even the most sensitive military bases of the enemy. For this reason, Brahmos was used on important military targets of Pakistan in Operation Sindoor.

PM Modi's message: The power of 'self-reliant India'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently praised the Brahmos missile and said, "The world saw the power of our indigenous weapons in Operation Sindoor. Our air defense, missile, and drone technology have introduced 'self-reliant India,' especially Brahmos."

This was not just praise but a clear message that India can now make high-tech military technology itself and can also use it effectively.

Deployment of Brahmos against China

Till now Brahmos has been used only against Pakistan, but India is now deploying Brahmos batteries in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, keeping in mind the challenge of China.

This process has been going on for the last two years. Now when Brahmos is being added to the joint capability of the Air Force and Navy, it will give a new dimension to India's military power in the Indo-Pacific region.

BrahMos symbolizes India's standoff strike capability.

The BrahMos missile is not just a weapon but a symbol of India's military independence and technological prowess. The missile gives India a major strategic edge against enemies like Pakistan and China.

In the future, more advanced versions of BrahMos will further strengthen India's security, taking the country closer to its goal of a "self-reliant defense system."
