

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to start services on the main metro lines earlier than usual to facilitate the marathon participants. Metro services on the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Violet lines will begin at 3:15 am on October 12th.

New Delhi: The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon will be held in Delhi on Sunday on 12 October. The event will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with thousands of participants expected to participate. Due to the marathon, changes have been made to traffic and public transport operations in Delhi to provide better convenience to participants.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to start services on the main metro lines earlier than usual to facilitate the marathon participants. Metro services on the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Violet lines will begin at 3:15 am on October 12th.
Red Line: From Rithala to Shaheed Sthal
Yellow Line: From Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre, Gurugram
Blue Line: From Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali
Violet Line: From Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh
Metro services will run every 15 minutes from 3:15 am to 4 pm. Subsequently, services will be available every 20 minutes from 4 pm to 6 pm. After 6 am, all metro lines will operate as per the regular Sunday schedule. Services on other metro lines will resume as usual on Sundays.

To assist participants on the ground, both the DMRC and the organizers have deployed volunteers at several key metro stations to ensure security and order. These volunteers will be present at key stations such as Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Jor Bagh, Janpath, and Jangpura to provide proper guidance to passengers.
Traffic congestion in the surrounding areas may be affected during the marathon. Therefore, the DMRC and Delhi Police have made special arrangements for traffic management to ensure smooth travel of passengers to their destinations.
Participants are advised to reach their stations well in advance and adhere to the rules to ensure smooth operation of both the marathon and metro operations.
