BSF jawan PK Shaw returns to his homeland amid Operation Sindoor
Border Security Force constable Purnam Kumar Shaw, who hails from Rishra in West Bengal's Hooghly district, was handed over to the BSF by Pakistan Rangers at 10:30 am via the Attari-Wagah border front in Punjab. Shaw was apprehended by the Rangers on April 23 from along the India-Pakistan International Border in Ferozepur district, a day after the Pahalgam terror attack.
A press release has also been issued by the BSF on this, stating that PK Shaw had accidentally crossed the border and has now returned home safely. PK Shaw hails from West Bengal and was posted at the Ferozepur border in Punjab. When this incident happened, his wife, Rajni Sahu, was very upset. She also went to Chandigarh and met BSF officials to ensure the return of her husband.
Major Diplomatic Win For India
Meanwhile, India has given a strong response under "Operation Sindoor." 26 tourists were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this, India destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). This further increased the tension between the two countries. However, it did not affect the release of PK Shaw.
Overall, on one hand, India gave a befitting reply to terrorism, and on the other hand, it also brought back its soldier safely. Indian jawan held by Pakistan Rangers is finally reunited with his family at Attari-Wagah after 3 weeks. A proud moment for India and a major diplomatic win for India. Pakistan has realized that confrontation will lead them nowhere.
Prime Minister Modi threatened terror organizations and terrorists that India's military would make strong counterattacks if confronted with a recurrence of the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 individuals, predominantly civilians, were murdered by the terrorists of a proxy of the Pak-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terror organization.
