Crowd on NH-44 and Singhu Border
On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, a large number of people are going out of Delhi through national highways. Especially the passengers going to Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, and Chandigarh via NH-44 and the Singhu Border are facing heavy crowds. Delhi Police has advised to avoid these routes and take alternate routes.
Jam on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and in Noida
Since the night of August 8, there has been a terrible jam on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, where long queues of vehicles are spread over several kilometers. The situation was also very bad in Noida, where the traffic jam that started at 7 pm continued till midnight. There was a pile of vehicles on Noida Extension, Char Murti, and other major routes, while pedestrians were also seen standing in long queues for buses.
Due to the weather and festive crowd, the traffic system in Delhi-NCR has collapsed. In such a situation, following the advice of Delhi Police and using public transport and planning the journey in advance is the best option. It is necessary to be cautious and patient for safe and smooth travel on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
