Khesari Lal Yadav met Tejashwi Yadav
Patna: Bhojpuri cinema's famous actor and singer Khesari Lal Yadav on Thursday met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav at his residence in Patna. After this meeting, discussions started in political circles about whether Khesari Lal Yadav can contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections on an RJD ticket. However, Khesari Lal Yadav clearly dismissed these speculations and said that he had come not to contest the elections but to meet Tejashwi.
"Even if we are heroes, we are not entering electoral politics."
In a conversation with the media, Khesari Lal Yadav said, "We did not come to contest elections; we are heroes. We are busy in our film career and singing good songs." He also said that he has a brotherly relationship with Tejashwi Yadav and he had come to seek his blessings. On the question of contesting elections in the future, he said, "We live today; we don't know what will happen tomorrow. If Tejashwi Bhai says so, then we will see."
Closeness with Tejashwi Yadav and the Lalu family
Khesari Lal Yadav has had a good relationship with RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav for a long time. Even before the Lok Sabha elections last year, Khesari had met Lalu Yadav, after which there were discussions about him contesting the elections. Khesari Lal Yadav is originally from the Saran (Chapra) district of Bihar and is a big name in the Bhojpuri industry.
