Even an MLA Sticker Didn’t Help
The strictness of the police can be understood from the fact that at the Aterna police checkpoint, a vehicle with an MLA sticker was stopped. The vehicle contained a farmer’s cap and a police cap, yet it was not allowed to enter. The entire vehicle was searched, and the MLA sticker was removed on the spot. All three occupants were detained and questioned thoroughly.
Police Implement ‘Lockdown Model’
For the past three days, a kind of ‘lockdown model’ has been in effect in Kapsad village. Barricades, ID checks, and questioning continue at all entry points. From the local police station in-charge to senior district officials, authorities are actively monitoring the situation. The SSP, DM, and other senior officers are keeping a close eye on developments.
Strict Monitoring of Villagers’ Movements
Police strictness is not limited to outsiders. Movements of villagers are also being closely watched—who is leaving, who is returning. The administration aims to prevent any rumors, inflammatory statements, or videos from spreading on social media.
Monitoring Cameras and Mobile Phones
Within Kapsad, authorities are monitoring activities through security cameras as well as mobile phone recordings outside. The police and administration do not want any misleading or false videos to go viral on social media, which could worsen the situation. For this reason, media and political parties are currently restricted from entering the village.
