New Delhi: In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders staged a strong protest against the India-Pakistan match to be held in Asia Cup 2025. The party leaders alleged that the government is playing with the sentiments of the country by considering terrorism and cricket as different.

Kejriwal On PM Modi

At the same time, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that this match is being organized under the pressure of Trump.

Former Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a post on social media platform X. He said, "What is the need for the Prime Minister to organize a match with Pakistan? The whole country is saying that this match should not happen. Then why is this match being organized?"

Kejriwal further expressed apprehension that this decision has been taken under the pressure of US President Donald Trump. He wrote sarcastically, "Is this also being done under the pressure of Trump? After all, how much will you bow before Trump?"

Saurabh Bhardwaj Statement

AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj raised serious questions on the government. He said, "The sindoor of our 26 sisters was wiped off (in the Pahalgam terror attack). The terrorists killed them selectively. The government had said that we will start 'Operation Sindoor', so how can our cricket team play cricket with such people?"

Bhardwaj further said, "Our government used to say that business and terrorism cannot go together, so how can cricket and terrorism go together?"
