Bengaluru: An IPS officer released personal pictures of a female IAS officer after allegations of corruption. A verbal spat between two top women officials in the state has crossed all the limits.
Karnataka Handicrafts Development Corporation MD and IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil shared pictures of Rohini Sindhuri, IAS, Commissioner of Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department, on Facebook yesterday.
Roopa alleged that Rohini herself shared these pictures with three male IAS officers during 2021-22.
A new controversy has been ignited by Roopa after making 20 allegations against Rohini through Facebook on Saturday. Roopa also pointed that sharing such pictures is an offense under the Indian Service Rules.
The Karnataka Home Minister, Araga Jnanendra said he had discussed the row with the police chief and the Chief Minister was also aware.
"We are not sitting quiet, action will be taken against them. They both are behaving in such a bad way - not even normal people speak on the streets like this. Let them do whatever they want on their personal issues, but coming before the media and behaving the way they are is not right," Jnanendra said. (with Agency inputs)
