In this scheme, there are two accounts linked to Fastag. One is the annual pass account, in which Rs 3,000 is deposited and 200 trips are deducted from it. The second is the normal Fastag account, from which the toll of other routes is deducted. This makes it easier for passengers to know on which road the pass is valid.
According to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, commuters who spend up to Rs 10,000 annually on toll will now get 200 trips for just Rs 3,000. That is, there will be a saving of about Rs 7,000 every year.
