Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again made a statement that has caused a stir worldwide. He claimed that the US possesses so many nuclear weapons that it "can destroy the world 150 times."

Trump also stated that his ultimate goal is a nuclear-free world, but he also sent a strong message to China and Russia. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, "I think denuclearization is a brilliant idea. We could blow up the planet 150 times, but there's no need for that."

America Has Largest Nuclear Power

Trump said that the US is the world's largest nuclear power. According to him, "The United States has the most nuclear weapons, followed by Russia and then China." He further stated that it is time for leaders like Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin to focus their resources on development rather than weapons. Trump said, "I have spoken to both Xi Jinping and Putin. Now they will do things that will benefit the people."

This statement comes a day after Trump had raised the possibility of a trilateral nuclear arms control agreement between the United States, Russia, and China.

"We Are The Number One Nuclear Power"

In his statement, Trump proudly declared that the United States has modernized its nuclear weapons and is the world's number one nuclear power. "We have refurbished our nuclear weapons. It doesn't feel good to say this because it's very dangerous, but we are leading the way. Russia is second, and China is third. However, China could catch up with us in the next four or five years." He added that his aim is to establish peace in the world, not to start war.

Preparations To Resume Nuclear Testing

Last week, Trump also stated that the United States would resume nuclear testing. He stated that he had instructed the Pentagon that if other countries were conducting tests, the United States should not lag behind. "Other countries are doing it; if they do, we will do it too."
