Iran enraged by US-Israel strike on B1 bridge
New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, the US and Israel struck Iran’s tallest structure-the under-construction 136-meter-high B1 Bridge connecting Tehran with Karaj-leaving at least eight dead and around 95 injured. The attack has prompted Iran to prepare retaliatory measures.
Iran’s state-run news agency Fars reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has identified eight key bridges across Gulf nations and Jordan as potential targets.

These include Kuwait’s Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Sea Bridge; the UAE’s Sheikh Zayed, Al Maqta, and Sheikh Khalifa Bridges; Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd Causeway linking Bahrain; and Jordan’s King Hussein, Damia, and Abdoun Bridges.
The attack followed a warning from U.S. President Donald Trump, who threatened to “send Iran back to the Stone Age.” Posting footage of smoke rising from the B1 Bridge, Trump warned that more destruction would follow unless Iran agrees to negotiate an end to the five-week-long conflict. “Iran’s largest bridge has collapsed and will never be usable again; much more is yet to come,” he stated.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi condemned the strike, emphasizing that attacks on civilian infrastructure would not break Iranian resolve. “Strikes on civilian projects will not force Iranians to surrender,” he said. “They only expose the desperation and faltering morale of our adversaries.”
