Muzzaffarpur: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday made serious allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an election rally.
He claimed that PM Modi had immediately stopped India's ongoing military action against terrorist camps located in Pakistan on the instructions of US President Donald Trump. This statement was made during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
Citing Trump's claims
Rahul Gandhi cited recent statements by Donald Trump in support of his allegation. Trump has once again claimed that he played the role of mediator in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan after the military conflict in May.

Trump's controversial statement
During a cabinet meeting held at the White House, Trump claimed that he had talked to Modi and the Pakistani leadership and said that if there was no ceasefire, the US would not sign trade deals and would impose high tariffs. He even said that the matter was resolved in just five hours.

The Indian government has been constantly reiterating that the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan was the result of direct talks between the military officials of the two countries.

He demanded the removal of the names of 65 lakh voters from the voter list in Bihar and sought clarification from the Election Commission.
